Backyard Picnic

Today's blog is nothing new but does provide a lot of opportunities to connect with your children- and that's what this blog is all about! Intentional connections with your little ones in this busy life we can easily get caught up in.

Sunny days mean picnics for our family.  Essentially, I cook whatever I had planned for lunch or dinner and simply place a blanket in our yard.  It doesn't take much more than a blanket and sitting on the grass, but mealtime suddenly becomes special and exciting.

Sharing a meal in the yard seems to spark new conversations, silly stories and games.  There is probably a lot more fun than actual eating but once in a while is ok right?! 

Pack up a lunch and take it to the beach, have a picnic in your yard- whatever you decide, make a point to share a picnic meal with your children this week. I would love to hear your stories and how you and your children connected through picnic time this week- Comment below!
